MEET OUR PASTOR

Matt and Libby Abberger have been serving the Lord in both school and church ministry since their marriage. The Lord has blessed them with five children: Tristan, Mackenzie , Ryan, Makayla, and Melissa.

Matt and Libby both grew up in Christian homes and Bible-preaching churches in Indiana. Because of these blessings, they both heard the gospel clearly in their childhood and trusted Christ. 

Matt attended Pensacola Christian College for both his undergraduate (B.A. Bible) and graduate (M.A. Ed. Leadership) degrees. Libby attended Northland International University for her undergraduate (B.A. Church Ministries) degree.

The Abbergers began their full-time ministry in Education. Matt taught, coached, and was an administrator at Southview Christian School in Statesville, NC where Libby coached and managed the ministry finances. For seven years before coming to Faith, God focused their ministry fully on the church setting. During this time, Matt served both as Associate Pastor at First Baptist Church of Calvert in the D.C. area of Maryland and as Senior Pastor of Hillside Bible Church in Mifflinburg, PA.
